Event details below:
On Saturday May 12th Soundplate will be hosting a room in the iconic Ministry Of Sound. This will be our first official event and will act as a warm-up for our huge summer launch party.
We’re excited to announce this amazing line-up for our room:
DJ MA1 is regarded as one of the pioneers of the London House and Funky scene. Responsible for releasing some of the tracks which helped develop the early afro beat sound of UK Funky, ‘I’m Right Here’ and ‘Give it up’, were heavily rotated on Rinse FM and given regular airplay on BBC Radio 1. MA1 has also remixed for artists including Roska, Bob Sinclar and Jordan Sparks. His popularity in the underground house scene has seen him go on to perform at some of the biggest clubs in the UK and worldwide and in Poland, Germany and Prague.
Iconic versitile house producer Hardhouse Banton, will also be treating us to a stonking set. With his eclectic style of music production stemming from a mix of Spanish and Jamaican heritage, we’re expecting big things. Hardhouse can also be credited as being the man responsible for one of UK Funky’s biggest tracks to date ‘Sirens’, and alongside producer DJ Gregory, the ‘Migrane Skank’- everyone remembers trying to do the dance…
It’s also going to be DJ Whitecoats 30th birthday, so the party will be hard.
Ricky RSI – Ministry Of Sound Radio
