The Chemical Brothers – Star Guitar

The Chemical Brothers sampled the main hook/riff of David Bowie’s ‘Star Man’ on their 2001 single, ‘Star Guitar’.


 

 Phats & Small’s – ‘Turn Around’ (Norman Cook Remix)

Norman Cook’s remix of the Phats & Smalls smash hit from way back in 1999 contains a replayed sample of the Bowie classic, ‘Starman’ listen out for it at 0.08 in the track below!

 


 

Craig David – ‘Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)’

Current, come back kid and UKG star sampled one of Bowies best known and loved songs, ‘Let’s Dance’ in his UK #7 hit, ‘Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)’.

 


 

Groove Armada 1980

Groove Armada used the a sample of the lyrics from Bowie’s Moonage Daydream in their 2010 track, 1980 which appeared on their White Light Album.


 

UNKLE – ‘Hold My Hand’

James Lavelle and Tim Goldsworthy’s production alias UNKLE has sampled Bowie a few times. One of of these times was when they borrowed the drums from ‘Be My Wife’ in their track, ‘Hold My Hand’ in their ‘War Stories’ release. Listen to the track below..
