Introduce yourself and tell us about the part of the UK you’re from?

“I’m a born and bred Londoner, although my mother is Armenian born in Cyprus and my Dad is German who grew up in California. I was raised playing musical instruments and listening to pirate radio and I guess it was a natural progression for me to start going to raves, remixing and producing tunes and then getting turntables and djing.”

Can you tell us a bit about what you’ve been working on recently?

“This mix features the first play of my remix of Bloom’s ‘The World For You’. The original is smooth poppy half-time dreamstep. I gave it an electro twist for some dancefloor activation. The opening track in my mix is ‘5 o’clock shuffle’, also a new creation of mine getting its first play on this mix.”

And can you talk us through the mix?

“This mix represents my sound. Glitch-Hop, Electro Swing, UK Bass and Jungle. It’s dancey and in-your-face but catchy and vibey. Its like a soundclash between a festival dance stage, a street carnival and a warehouse rave. I love to get people moving and love a variety of musical styles so my sets are about transmitting an infectious maximum yo power party vibe to da massive! YES!”

Nice, talk us through the British music featured in this mix? Which British artists are you most excited about?

“Bloom has an incredible voice and other-worldy production style so watch out for her! Dutty Moonshine are Electro-Swing stalwarts and their tunes are always in my sets. They’re part of the Ghetto Funk crew who are spreading the big bass funk vibe worldwide. William Breakspear is a big player in the Glitch-Hop scene along with Skope – these tracks are in the after dark mix.”

Cool, tell us about some of your British musical Heroes and influences in general?

“JFB never disappoints. Dancefloor, turntable wizard. I also highly rate Mr. Switch, the UK DMC champion, another geezer who rips it up with impeccable style. I was lucky to support David Rodigan in Switzerland, he is a living legend.

Great and what’s on the cards in the immediate future?

“I have a fortnightly show on www.meattransmission.com which is my window on the world, playing the bounciest dance music I can find! I’m helping to organise a wakeboard and music festival with Okoru who produce the best parties in the Alps.”

And finally, where is the best place in the world you have performed and why?

“Although I’ve played all over Europe and Latin America, I absolutely love djing to massive having it UK festival crowds and Secret Garden Party is my favourite place to do that! I’ve played there every year since 2007.  Whether its a fire engine, the Rejenr8 geodome, The Great Stage, The Woods, The Drop, The Collosillyum, King Nimrod’s palace – the punters and the production team always go that extra mile and go extra mental! There’s just no holding back! I’m playing in the woods there this year and cannot wait! Goldierocks and I did a radio show together at Secret Garden Party one year, ridiculously epic!”
