Event Review: Circoloco at DC-10 Ibiza | 2017

With the Ibiza season now in full swing we took a trip to DC-10 for another huge Circoloco party.

Ibiza nightclub, DC-10 holds a special place in the hearts of many revellers that travel to Ibiza. It is seen as the islands musical pinnacle and Circoloco is its premier event.

After last week’s spectacular opening party, the season continued with another eclectic and impressive lineup. In The Garden, the dark blue is being broken by the ferocious red lighting that is pulsating over the dance floor; the shadows of the trees are shifting and moving at one with the crowd.

The scene is one part apocalyptic and one part mesmerising. The crowd is equally as frenzied and unpredictable moving and soaring over the beat. Gerd Janson is playing a set that flashes through different genres and pulsates down from the speakers above. As the hum of ‘I Feel Love’ starts beating down the crowd becomes loose and The Garden closes in triumphant fashion.

Moving inside the music moves into a darker and more aggressive tone. Disclosure proving their credentials once more as both artists and touring DJ’s; their sound fits the venue with melodic breakdowns quickly followed by a pulsating bass line. Their set was soon followed by The Martinez Brothers – the duo defines the attitude of Circoloco and the anarchy such an event emits onto the crowd. They drastically flip and switch mid-set in a chaotic and fluid style fully encompassing the brilliance and insanity of their venue.
