Fabric Nightclub May Be Forced To Close

10685575_10152554313653471_5652815910368833277_nThe world famous London nightclub Fabric may be forced to close as authorities are considering stripping it’s licence in response to drug related incidents at the Farringdon venue. This would be a huge loss to London and the electronic music scene in the UK. We have everything crossed that the club will get though this.

The license review will go ahead tonight, it has been called for by Police who say that over the past three years, eight people have collapsed,  four of whom died, at the Farringdon club after taking drugs.

The club has twice been voted best club in the world by DJ Mag readers and recently celebrated it’s 15th birthday. Fabric is also home to a successful record label which has releases monthly compilations mixed by some of the worlds best DJ’s.

We firmly believe this is the wrong approach to tackling drug issues in nightclubs, what do you think? Let us know by leaving a comment or tweet us @Soundplate.
