Jack Dixon boasts an impressive discography, as he has showcased releases and remixes on the likes of Get Physical, Hotflush and Leftroom. We’ve been left waiting for more since his huge remix of Catz n Dogz’s ‘They Frontin’ and, alas, an EP has finally landed. ‘Edge of The Universe’ kicks things off with a coy, techno vibe before plunging into a deeper, house driven drop. ‘No One is Watching’ steps things up a notch with a bouncing bass line and expertly sampled vocals twisting in and out. Rounding things up is ‘Filippo’s head injury’, which progressively unfolds leading into some tantalising breakdowns and distorted synths, providing the perfect wind down to the EP.
Conclusively, this is a well-rounded EP with a sound that could cater for most. The tracks really epitomize Jack’s talent and versatility, and a true ear for perfection. The EP will be released as a debut on Tender Hooks and is available on vinyl and digital on August 12th.
