I couldn’t really see what could be done with Rustie’s ‘After Light’ but when this track was released last month on Warp Records it was obvious I was wrong. It seems that Aluna George, the London based duo also known as Aluna Francis and George Reid have succeeded in creating an R&B vibe to a tune of quite opposite sounds and it works surprisingly well. Aluna George bring a sense of harmony and calm to an otherwise erratic track. Check out their EP ‘You Know You Like It’ released on TriAngle Records and if you don’t already know Rustie seriously check him out!
