We caught up with Lucas to find out a little more about the mix and the man himself..
For those who don’t know you already, briefly introduce yourself & tell us where you are from..
Lucas Chambon. I come from Aix-en- Provence, in the south of France. I started producing without music notions around 12 years old with a game called “Music 2000”!
This passion of creating never left me.
Tell us a little about what to expect to hear in this mix, who are some of the featured artists that are you are excited about right now?
You can find here a selection of recents and olds tracks that give you an idea of my electronic musical universe. I listen to many others styles of music. I’ve tried here to select grooves and melancholics tracks like I love and which fit together well.
I’ve not focused especially on the artists, but more on the tracks themselves. An artist I’m excited right now?, George Michael! He’s not featured I know but I’ve recently replayed all the tracks that I loved when I was young (like “Fast love”), and I realize much more how talented he was.
What advice would you give to aspiring DJs & producers?
Do what you like and never try to copy somebody or a music style, even if you have to find inspiration in others’ music. It’s not easy, I admit… Do not ask you the question “What style am I doing right now ?” You don’t care!
What do you have coming up over the next few months? (gigs, releases etc)
I have some productions in preparation that will be released soon!My objective for the coming year is to produce more than usual.
