The ‘Melodics‘ app aims to improve your pad / cue point drumming in the studio on on the stage.
Pad drumming, or cue point drumming, has become an essential tool for DJs, producers, beat makers and musicians — in the studio and on stage. Melodics is an app that adapts to your abilities and musical tastes to help you get better at pad drumming, faster.
We just stumbled on this app by chance, and it looks like such a good idea that we thought it deserved to be shared. The Melodics app helps teach you how to improve your finger drumming skills which can be essential for producers, and increasingly, DJ’s. The app works with several devices including, most good brands of controllers, decks and drum machines and contains tons of interactive lessons to teach you all the skills you need.
The lessons which are developed alongside leading DJ’s and producers look like great fun, it almost turns the learning process into a game. They cover everything from the basics to pretty advanced techniques and are even split into different genres.
