London’s one of the richest and most fruitful city’s in terms of music. Ever since the dawn of dance music, Londoner’s have been at the forefront of music from acid house to dubstep, future house and more. Yet our all inclusive output is often away from our often hard-nosed, impossible-to-crack industry, where it’s who you know rather than what you know that seems to give young producers the final edge.

This is set to change though, with the arrival of Take Note, the first London based conference and event that’s aimed SPECIFICALLY at young producers and music students who are looking to further their career and make the right moves, from a grass-roots level. This means no stuffy industry has-beens, label executives and money hungry cats talking about 18-holes of golf and licensing another Guetta record. This one’s for you, and we’ve listed five things that you should make the most of at this weekend’s event. Take note indeed….

Yup so you’re at a special event that’s dedicated to helping you achieve your fullest potential and to learn about the wider ‘music biz’ at large. Take Note will be teaming with young guns such as yourself, all hungry and dewy eyed for some new opportunities. So go down with an open mind, your Soundcloud links and label art ready and enter with an excited spring in your step – talk to passers by, forge new relationships and share your work – don’t let this exciting new opportunity slip you by without maximizing that potential to the fullest.
