Introduce yourself and tell us about the part of the UK you’re from?
We’re Ryan & Danny, and together we are Blind Motive, a London based Techno duo.
Tell us about some of your British DJ heroes?
Ryan: Fatboy Slim, Terry Francis, Andy C, Jackmaster, – All incredible DJ’s
Danny: Jackmaster, Scuba, Joey
What have you been working on recently?
We’ve been locked away recently tracking down new music for the second half of the year, new remixes, collaborations, the works!
Tell us about the mix, how did you put it together, what did you want to represent? Talk us through the British music featured in this mix? Which British artists are you most excited about?
This mix is a reflection of our DJ sets, it’s a cross section of different sounds we venture through, featuring some more melodic tracks as well as some more up front techno cuts. It also contains a few unreleased originals.
What is on the cards in the immediate future?
Releases with Haus22, Natura Viva Black and a remix on Constant Circles are all to come in the very near future.
Where is the best place in the world you have DJ’d and why?
Ryan: I think our closing set at Sankeys Manchester, has to be a highlight. It wasn’t until after the show we heard the news that the venue was closing making us the last people to play there.
Danny: The best venue I would say is probably XOYO, it’s just such a wicked place, and having played there a few times now, it just gets better every show. Although Sankeys Manchester does come so close due to the fact it’s now closed down! What a special place that was too.
