Rumours are circulating that Apple will buy Beats Electronics next week for the pricely sum of $3.2 billion (£1.9 billion). If the deal goes through it will be Apples biggest ever acquisition.
It is reported that Apple are perhaps most interested in Beats’ streaming service which recently toped the music app store chart, overtaking Spotify for the first time.
In September 2013, Beats was valued at more than $1bn after taking a $500m investment from US private-equity firm Carlyle and more recently raised more than $60m in a second round of funding.
