London mayor, Boris Johnson has announced plans for a London Night Time Commission to protect and manage London’s nightlife.
Boris Johnson has revealed plans for a six-month investigation which will examine ways to “protect and manage” the capital’s nighttime economy. The aim is to “make recommendations about measures to support the nighttime economy,” which will come as music to the ears of London’s late night venues which have had a tough time recently due to licensing issues and noise complaints.
This follows yesterdays news that a new legislation is being introduced the capital to protect existing music venues from new residential developments and the recent developments in TFL’s night tube plans.
All in all, it’s been a very positive few days for London’s nighttime economy!
