We’ve all seen Benji B Strings, Goldie’s Orchestra and even recently Jeff Mills getting in on the classical/dance hybrid, but Capital Xtra seem to have switched things up the other way as part of their Classic FM charity takeover. This week Mr. Snowman himself, Aled Jones, is the latest star from the station to take listeners on an entirely different magical journey, not through snow, but through sound.
Only a few weeks ago, Myleene Klass was dropping shout outs on the station as she “turned to a life of grime”, and now Jones is the latest to make the switch. With a history of jungle and drum and bass mix playing beneath him, Aled Jones takes us through some classics before bringing us up to date, all whilst making some incredible shout outs – listen out for the Shy FX one which is easily our favourite.
