The release of ‘Thinking of You’ on Beatport back in March saw the return of FitzGerald to Hotflush in a blaze of trademark club-ready bass. Now set for a physical release in full glory, the b-side brings things up a gear in the producer’s repertoire. ‘Nighttide Lover’ doesn’t sacrifice a shred of FitzGerald’s ability for a soulful lyrical, or a core catchy riff, but there’s an unhesitating weight – a sign that anyone to catch the producer of his summer tour is in store for an unadulterated sweaty affair! The welcome addition of a Re-Dub courtesy of Trikk (dat cowbell!) adds the finishing touch and cements this release as a Hotflush classic.
