Hear Other Sounds are delving a little deeper with their second release, courtesy of producer J-One.
The ‘Yours’ EP features 4 tracks that effortlessly blur the lines between the Experimental, Garage & Dubstep sounds. ‘The Way You’ , exemplifies this, with a dark bassline, offset with tones familiar with RnB.
The title track ‘Yours’ starts with an intro reminiscent of 90’s 2 step. Expect piano stabs, soft melodies and a clear emphasis on melding the old with the new. J-One’s interpretation brings you back to that 99-02 era where Garage and Grime started to go their separate ways. Day 1 focuses on this profound aesthetic with vocal stabs and trembling basslines.
