Belgian wonder-kid Locked Groove was the name on everyone’s lips as we entered 2013, and this anticipated release will be coming out on Scuba’s esteemed Hotflush label. In fact, now cited as one of the ‘Hotflush family’, his remix of Duke Dumont’s ‘The Giver’ rightfully found its way on to Scuba’s October Mix for Fact Magazine. This EP taster is exactly what one would have hoped for from 24 year old Tim Van de Meutter; an exciting venture combining mature spacey synth leads with gritty bass lines, yet still nurturing the melodic intricacy that helped him achieve prominence last year. With the support of Scuba and Tiga, it’s hard to imagine Locked Groove not reaching an even more widespread audience this term.
The ‘Heritage EP’ is set for release on Hotflush Recordings on February 25th.
