Maceo Plex has treated us to an under the radar glimpse into what he has been doing recently; a much darker transcript of his own ‘Ellum-inspired’ vision of where house music is headed. ‘Galactic Cinema’ is an arresting affair, one which grips you immediately with the typically innovative vocal experimentation Maceo has become famous for. The spacey swirls and launchpad sounds are layered neatly above a monotonous (in the positive sense of the word!) Techno inspired beat, which gives the track a robotic yet creative feel.
