Purple Velvet – ‘Solstice EP ‘

purplevelvetexploited One of Chris James’ many alias’ comes in the form of Purple Velvet, teaming up with fellow deep house connoisseur Lee Dearn. Their latest EP goes by the name of ‘Solstice’ and the title track comes loaded with plenty of colourful chords before an ample bass line drop. Next up, ‘Artform’ echoes delightful vocals and a thumping beat accompanied by progessive percussion. ‘Drift’ brings an ultimately unique sound to the EP with a clever range of bouncy, angelic synths. Behling and Simpson step up to the remixing duties for ‘Solstice’ with a chunkier feel than the original, taking the EP out with a bang.

The EP is due for release via Exploited and will be available from 16th September on Beatport.
