A dexterous blend of hazy psychedelic minimalism and delicate guitar echos, Night Plane’s remix of Summer Days by The Reflections is an underlying vision for what can only be described as ‘Dream-House’. Championed by Boston collective Soul Clap, Brooklyn based William Rauscher is no stranger to transforming straight edge guitar music into hypnotic minimal electronica; as he proved with his 2010 rework of Warpaint’s ‘Undertow’. His own track ‘Parallel Lines’ even found its way onto Soul Clap’s mix for Art Department’s No. 19 label in the same year. This magical fusion of romantic melodies and mythical atmospherics is something that is hard to master, but Night Plane has certainly perfected the craft on this one – let’s hope there is more of the same in the pipeline!
