When it comes to 2013 being the summer of disco, the hype surrounding a certain pair of French androids had many believing they couldn’t get a look in. However I am delighted to say a big fat ‘non’.
Thundercat’s ‘Oh Sheit It’s X’ is the ultimate teaser ahead of the producer/bassist’s upcoming LP Apocalypse. Offering a sizzling slice of bass-laden funk, the track comfortably places the Brainfeeder imprint slap bang on the boogie map, with a cameo from label boss Flying Lotus delivering a healthy dose of analogue in to the mix.
Apocalypse is set for release June 4th on Brainfeeder records.
