August 2014 This month G-SHOCK announces the line-up for the second Sessions 2.0 – an evolution of the brand’s renowned Sessions project, which was founded in 2010. Inspired by G-SHOCK’s ethos of #nevergiveup, the aim of the project was to provide young up and coming music artists a platform on which to showcase their talents and help them on their way to success. For Sessions 2.0, G-SHOCK has teamed up with youth culture experts Urban Nerds Collective, who joined forces with the brand to define the Sessions campaign – aligning the brand with the sounds of the UK underground. Urban Nerds Collective is working with G-SHOCK to deliver a series of pop-up, intimate live music shows at the EAST store on Brick Lane. Following the success of the first event in June with house DJ Hannah Wants, G-SHOCK is pleased to announce a hard-hitting line-up for the second installment this September. Headlined by house music legend Darius Syrossian, Thursday 18th September will see support from young electronic duo The Willers Brothers and West London based DJ twins The Menendez Brothers. Darius has successfully made his name as a DJ, producer, and radio host having performed at every major club and festival in an extensive touring schedule. His production skills have lead to acclaim with labels such as Area Remote, 8 Bit, Monique Musique and Get Physical. Since arriving in the capital in 2013, The Willers Brother have an impressive array of achievements under their belt – from a residency at Egg London to a regular radio show on east London’s premier online station, Hoxton FM. Known for vibrant sets that combine Hip Hop anthems with Deep House Grooves, Old School Garage cuts and everything in between, West London based DJ duo The Menendez Brothers have been making waves across London and Europe with residencies at FOUND, Saints Don’t Sleep and So Fresh So Clean.
