Red Bull Music Academy are proud to announce a 13 hour marathon of the most cutting edge electronic music on Saturday 20th July at Tramlines Festival, Sheffield, one of the UK’s biggest metropolitan music festivals. RBMA will showcase some of the most prolific participants from the 15th Red Bull Music Academy in New York City – T Williams, Koreless and Throwing Snow. The location, Hope Works, a warehouse space in the heart of Sheffield’s industrial world will play host to this mammoth event with Article Works installing an exclusive light and visual show.

Headlining the jam-packed line-up and Sheffield debut performance is international man of house, Hamburg based producer and DJ, Tensnake. Supporting headline is Ben Westbeach’s alter-ego and the UK’s hottest property BrEaCh fresh from recording his new album in the Red Bull Studios in Amsterdam is sure to turn up the volume and keep the dancefloor pumping. Opening for the RBMA participants is Glasgow’s own Koreless who kicks off proceedings by putting a show of his unique sonic blend of post dub-step and electronica. Next up offering a contrast to his fellow participant is masterful mixer, producer and remixer Throwing Snow. Adding analog and disco flair to the proceedings is Italian producer and fellow participant in this year’s Red Bull Music Academy, Jolly Mare.

Redesigning the space and providing visual and light installations are designers Article Works. Long time Red Bull collaborators, they have worked on visuals for countless DJs including Jamie XX, Benga, Duke Dumont, Erol Alkan and Fake Blood to name just a few. In honour of Red Bull Music Academy New York, Article Works will transform the old-warehouse with unique light and video installation reference New York artistic movements: Minimalism and Street Art taking inspiration from the light works of Dan Flavin, the geometry of Donald Judd, and the playfulness of Aakash Nihalani.

NEWS FLASH – RBMA have confirmed Maribou State b2b Pedestrian to headline a brand new terrace area between 4pm-10pm.  Currently spearheading a new wave of British producers making ingenious dance music, Maribou State and Pedestrian will be lighting up the joiners yard at sundown with a unique blend of their sounds. Prior to this, a selection of Sheffield’s finest electronic talent will be kick-starting the terrace party from the late afternoon and through the evening.

The event will run from 4pm until 5am at Hope Works, Sheffield as part of Tramlines.
