Giant Dutch Techno Brand, Awakenings are coming to Manchester

On February 6th, Awakenings will team up with Victoria Warehouse for a huge party. Chris Leibing, Guy Gerber, Nick Curly and Dave Clarke will all be on the line up!

Awakenings

The world’s largest and most famous techno brand, Awakenings, is coming to Manchester for the very first time at the iconic Victoria Warehouse. The date for this spectacular show, which will feature the same attention to detail and mind bending production as the globally acclaimed Awakenings Festival, is February 6th, and it runs from 9pm to 6am.
From the early days of Tribal Gathering and Bugged Out, Manchester has a rich heritage when it comes to techno and has always been a stronghold for the genre in the north. The iconic Victoria Warehouse is the perfectly industrial location for their first event in Manchester, and it will see the infamous Awakenings production spread over four monumental event spaces including a newly developed area which has yet to be open to the public.
This inaugural event is set to be headlined by a world beating selection of techno talents. Although more names will be announced in the coming weeks, there is already plenty to get excited about. German CLR boss Chris Liebing is one big headliner, as is the legendary UK stalwart Dave Clarke and leading Dutch techno DJ Speedy J. Joining those long established stars will be Spain’s chief techno export Paco Osuna, fast rising newcomer De Sluwe Vos, Soma’s key player Gary Beck, Rumors boss and prog techno pioneer Guy Gerber plus Phutek, Clouds, Bleaching Agent, AnD, trust and 8Bit label boss Nick Curly and Defected’s chief house talent Noir.
Maarten van Beusekom from Awakenings says, “After heading to UK shores with our sell out show in London last year, we are proud to go overseas with our production and go crazy this time in the UK’s second city of Manchester in February 2016. The monumental Victoria Warehouse is the industrial location to honour our first event in Manchester and fits in perfectly with our philosophy and what Awakenings & techno stands for. Expect a huge Awakenings production across four event spaces and we won’t be forgetting our much appreciated locker system so clubbers can focus on one thing; the party”
James Cohen from the Victoria Warehouse adds, “We are extremely excited to be teaming up with Awakenings to bring the biggest techno brand in the world to Manchester for the first time. With their reputation for heart stopping production, and with the amount of space we can offer, this event is sure to be just as impressive as the main festival itself: do not expect a scaled down version, because we are intent on making this as impactful as possible for all concerned.
The partnership with Awakenings joins our ever increasing list of promoters such as Cream, Live Nation, BBC 6 Music, Sankeys, Vevo & more who are opting to work within our venue. The beauty of the Victoria Warehouse is the scale and flexibility of the space, and the sheer adaptability of the buildings allows us to attract some of the biggest events and artists around the world.”
Pair all these scene leading favourites with unrivalled sound, extra sensory stimulating production, lights and lasers and you have a perfect techno storm taking place in one of the UK’s most famous party cities.
