Introduce yourself and tell us about the part of the UK you’re from?
Hi, we’re Kachina from the Midlands – Leicester & Leamington Spa
Can you tell us a bit about what you’ve been working on recently?
We’ve been mainly in the studio working on lots of new EPs for Affectionate Grooves and Migration Recordings.
Which British artists excite you?
Actually every artist on the mix is British, we’re most excited about Conducta and Flava D they’re both on fire at the moment, making some serious waves! Most of the music in this mix is our own or other projects we’re involved in as producers.
Cool, tell us about some of your British DJ heroes?
Zurcon, Tuff Enuff Brown, Graeme Park, Wigz, Slimzee, EZ, Sparx, Gilles Peterson, LTJ Bukem
Great and what’s on the cards in the immediate future?

And finally, where is the best place in the world you have performed and why?
All in good time! As individuals we’ve played all over the world but as Kachina we’ve only been releasing for a few months so we’ve only played a few local gigs so far but the response has been great, so hopefully we’ll have done a few international gigs by this time next year. We are talking to a few promoters at the moment.
