Introduce yourself and tell us about the part of the UK you’re from?
We are Psychemagik from the Cosmic Forest.

Can you tell us a bit about what you’ve been working on recently?
‘Mink & Shoes’, our latest single mostly. We’ve just returned from a great little tour of the USA and headed to Japan, China, Columbia & Mexico in the not too distant future. Some places I’ve never been actually so its gonna be fun.

And can you talk us through the mix?
As with all our mixes we wanted to take you on a journey. This one is a little deeper and darker than usual, stretching across a wide range of tempos. It’s about expressing a mood, I think. Not just chucking a bunch of tracks together. We go from slow to dark to light.

Nice, talk us through the British music featured in this mix? Which British artists are you most excited about?
There are some up and coming artists in there; one I’m most excited about is William Earl and his epic dark sound. So cool.

Cool, tell us about some of your British musical Heroes and influences in general?
Always used to love Gilles Peterson’s show on Kiss Fm back in the early 90’s, he would always play the most eclectic mix of folk, soul and spiritual jazz, songs that have stuck with me for 20 years and stood the test of time. Kevin Beadle used to play some killer jams too. I first heard ‘Daniel Salinas’ – ‘Straussmania’ through one of his sets, blew my head clean off!!

Great and what’s on the cards in the immediate future?

Some new projects on the horizon and releases.

And finally, where is the best place in the world you have performed and why?
Ah man…so many for so many reasons. One of my favorite’s actually was in Joshua Tree California (the Desert) playing for around 5hr in the brutal sunshine for a tight crew of friends while they around the desert indulging. That was an incredible experience and the perfect way to end a 6 weeks American tour.
