Today we announced a great new project we are working on – 12/7: The Great Vinyl Debate. We can now announce who the host / chair of the debate is and the first couple of panel guests. Keep an eye on the site all this week for more announcements and news about this…
We have chosen Clive Morgan as our Chair for the debate.. Clive is an Assistant Editor at The Telegraph but also has years experience as a resident at many world famous clubs including SPACE Ibiza. Check out his bio at Debate.soundplate.com.
We have also invited the incredibly talented Sonny Wharton (Skint Records) to join our panel. Here is what he had t say about being involved with the project:
“I’m really excited to be involved in this as I’ve been collecting vinyl for for many years and although I sadly no longer get to play it in my DJ sets I still have a strong passion for buying and listening to it every week. Along with the music you get with each record I personally find that just the simple act of pulling a cover from the shelves triggers a memory of an old show or where I first heard that track and this is something that just can’t be replicated by a virtual file.”
We are also pleased to announce our second panel guest, Uncle Dugs – Rinse FM’s only old school DJ and vinyl lover! Check out his bio on the micro-site now.
More panel guests announced tomorrow!
