After more than 25 years. It seems that the end might be in sight for the pioneering band, The Prodigy. Earlier this year Keith Flint told NME.

“I think that the band’s gonna come to an end at some point, And it’s got to be soon. It will end before we want it to because of the realities of age.”

Now in a more recent interview, the band have expressed no interest in doing another album.  Their latest album, ‘The Day is My Enemy’ was the group’s sixth consecutive number one album in the UK but Liam Howlett has now explained that producing albums “bores the shit out of him” and they will now only be focusing on EP releases. In the short term there will be new music from The Prodigy, in fact they have a new EP coming at the end of the month and have confirmed they are already working on more new material but the question remains how much longer the band will go on…

The band members are now in their forties and in Howlett put it:

“There comes a point where you don’t want to be Uncle Alan at the wedding reception.”

We hope to get at least a few more good releases from the guys before they give it all up. In the mean time check out the latest single from their new EP below..
