In much the same way that Rage Against The Machine’s, ‘Killing In the Name’ became a UK Singles Chart Christmas number one in 2009 a viral campaign has swept the electronic music world this week.
This time, fans hope the song to knock the standard X Factor winners single off the top spot on Christmas day will be Boddika’s VIP edit of his and Joy Orbison’s Techno banger, ‘Mercy’. The campaign was started by London producers TÂCHES & DE$iGNATED and has already gained more than 4,000 fans on Facebook.
Skream has got behind the campaign and promised to give away every tune he has ever made for free if Boddika does reach the top spot this Christmas. Many other electronic music artists that have come out in support of the campaign including chart topping duo Disclosure!
