Brixton’s Plan B nightclub has been taken over by The Columbo Group. Plan B has long been a favourite hang out for South London ravers. The 600 capacity club with late license and huge Funktion One sound system has been home to some some amazing events for several years now.
The club will now be taken over by The Columbo Group who also operate venues including XOYO, The Nest, The Blues Kitchen and The Queens Head. The group have also recently purchased Electric Social Bar in Brixton and have plans to turn it into another Blues Kitchen.
Reports suggest the launch date for the new venue replacing Plan B could be several months away and the venues name will be changing. While it’s always sad to hear of London venues closing, we have high hopes for the space under The Columbo Group’s management and look forward to seeing what they decide to do with the venue that has had such an impact on Brixton’s nightlife.
