Ceiling of Manchester Club, Warehouse 251 Collapsed

_72815947_factory_amandat1At around 2.30am last night the ceiling of Manchester venue Factory 251 collapsed injuring seven people.

It was the celling above the second-floor which cave in injuring seven people. The central Manchester venue is the site of the old Factory Records HQ which was refurbished as a club in 2010.

A club spokesman spoke to the BBC –

 

“The building was evacuated and police and fire crews attended as a precaution.”

He said a structural engineer was checking the cause and the club should be open for business “as usual” later.

He added that the club “sincerely apologise for the incident”.

“We welcome thousands of music lovers and clubbers every week to this historic building and their safety and enjoyment is of paramount importance to us.”
