Popular London based radio station, Choice FM is no more! Today Global Radio have made an official announcement that from Monday Choice Fm will become ‘CapitalXtra’ which will be a home for urban and dance music. The initial line up will include Abrantee, Tim Westwood, Craig David and Avicii.
Although it is a shame to see Choice go it is a sign of the times and another indication that dance music is becoming a more and more important part of the industry. Dance music digital track sales grew by three times that of any other major genre in 2012 so it’s easy to understand why Global Radio have decided to make this move.
