IMG_20130604_215427We are announcing new panel guests all week for our debate on 12th July. Yesterday we revealed that assistant editor at the Telegraph and international DJ, Clive Morgan would be the chair of the event. We also announced that DJ’s Sonny Wharton and Uncle Dugs would join us on the panel.

Today we are pleased to confirm that DJ Mag’s Mick Wilson will be joining us to share his opinions on vinyl / physical format’s music place in the modern music industry.

Mick is a dance music, cultural, technology and social commentator, Tech Editor of dance music bible DJ Mag, DJ, Producer and Record label owner, he has been tirelessly working within the industry for over twenty years releasing a wealth of killer tunes that have helped shape the scene as we know it.

We asked him what vinyl means to him, here is what he had to say:

“Vinyl is the medium that has helped shape the dance music scene for over twenty years. Even in changing times and throughout changing technologies it is vinyl that has been at the forefront of DJing culture and technology, influencing how, as a scene and an art form we enjoy our music”
