Oneman, Geeneus & Tippa, Crazy Cousinz, Roska, Donae’o and MA1 line up for a whats set to be a huge night at XOYO next month.
There is always rumblings of a UK Funky comeback.. One day it’s a Boiler Room UK Funky special, then another Drake samples a couple of classic Crazy Cousinz tunes on his smash hit album. Will there ever be a proper comeback? Probably not, but that doesn’t change the fact that in it’s glory days the UK Funky genre was home to some incredible music and super-talented artists. As part of his residency series at XOYO, Oneman plans to showcase just how good that music was with a special night featuring some of the genres finest.
On July 8th Oneman will present a UK Funky special featuring Rinse FM founder, Geeneus alongside MC Tippa as headliners. Supporting will be some of the most prolific producers from the scene including Crazy Cousinz, MA1 and Roska! The event will also feature a special live PA from Donae’o who will perform his UK Funky classics like ‘Party Hard’, ‘Devil In a Blue Dress’ and ‘African Warrior’.
