Is this the future for touring DJ’s and festivals?
In the past few days we have reported on Pioneer’s new flagship CDJ’s and mixer and that Richie Hawtin has revealed that he is working with Allen & heath on some innovative new DJ tech but this might be the most interesting development yet..
At this years annual NAMM Show, run by the National Association of Music Merchants Pioneer are displaying a prototype of a brand new heavy duty set of equipment which will likely feature a the big dance music festivals and clubs in the next few years.
According to DJ Tech Tools, the ‘Tour’ series of products will be like a heavy-duty version of the CDJ and DJM models, the Tour will also include a large screen separate from the normal CDJ screen which will work with Rekordbox to show multiple decks at once, it’s thought these screens might also be used to program light shows and other visual elements at big stage shows.
