R.I.P Frankie Knuckles – House Music Pioneer Dies at 59

House music legend, Frankie Knuckles has sadly passed away. The news has broken on several music and news websites and many DJ’s from Chicago have confirmed the sad news.

Frankie was born in the Bronx in 1955, when he moved to  Chicago in the 1970’s he became the main DJ at the now legendary club, The Warehouse, the club widely credited for creating house music. He also made some classic house music tracks and opened his own nightclub, The Power PLant in the early 1980s.

On a more personal note, he was one of the nicest and most interesting people we have met since working in the industry and a truly inspiring man. Frankie Knuckles will be sorely missed by the House Music community and our thoughts are with his friends and family.

R.I.P Frankie Knuckles.
