The Cocoon in The Park Facebook page was full of angry comments from festival goers who did not enjoy his set. Check out just some of the comments in the screenshot below which were posted on an image of Villalobos posted by the festvial with the caption “Ricardo Villalobos has just taken control of Temple Newsam” (the post has now been deleted)…
The post being deleted has not stopped the negative posts, fans have just moved on to comment on other posts across the fan page..
It’s never nice to see a DJ, particularly one as well respected Ricardo Villalobos receive so much harsh criticism after a set. Carl Cox is a tough act to follow and the turn in the weather (it rained) could have been a factor but something seems to have gone seriously wrong here. Perhaps it’s just another lesson in the importance of being able to read a crowd..
