Eastern Electrics already have one of the strongest line-ups of the summer. Today they have announced a further 10 acts including headliner Richie Hawtin, Kerri Chandler, Jackmaster,Kyle Hall, Chez Damier, Gerd and Matt Tolfrey.
They join the likes of Seth Troxler, Eats Everything, Claud Von Stroke, Maceo Plex, MK, Huxley and Justin Martin to make this line-up something very special. (The full line-up so far can be found at the bottom of this post.).
Richie Hawtin is a leader and visionary in the truest sense, whose name and reputation have traversed far beyond the realms of techno to invigorate and inspire an entire generation of electronic music lovers the world over.
Eastern Electrics on Richie Hawtin: As a spearhead of Detroit techno’s second wave he combines a passion fortechnology with a determination to push boundaries and explore sound in its purest form. Fusing musical influences from Chicago house and Detroit techno with artistic concepts from the likes of Rothko, he strips back layers and reduces sound to its very essence. Projects such as Concept 1 and his infamous Plastikman pseudonym are now regarded as seminal works of minimal techno. His set at Eastern Electrics will offer music fans a unique opportunity to experience one of the world’s most revered artists in a location steeped in rich musical heritage.
