Australian band, RÜFÜS are heading off to the states for a big tour. Ahead of the 13 date tour which includes gigs at SXSW & WMC the band have been forced to change their name to RÜFÜS DU SOL for the duration of their time in North America, remaining as RÜFÜS across the rest of the world.
The change is due to an existing US trademark on the name Rufus. Jon, James and Tyrone from the band did not want to make the name change, but realised that they would be forced to changed the name if they wanted to officially release their #1 debut record, ATLAS in North America.
The album will be released by Columbia records in the US and Canada.
