The IMS partners and Mark Grotefeld of Pioneer have just presented Simon Dunmore with this years IMS Pioneer award. Simon is the owner and head A&R of Defected Records. The award is given to one person per year that that has really led the way in the EDM industry with vision, innovation and style. Previous winners include Jason Bently (KCRW), James Barton (Cream), and Amy Thompson (ATM Artists).
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Simon – Defected is one of the labels we have worked most closely with and would not have been given the chance to interview the likes of Chocolate Puma and 2000andone without them!
