Today is a sad day for the Leeds clubbing scene. The Garage (which was voted DJ Mag’s Best Small Club in 2012) is having to close its doors with immediate effect.
There is no scandal or anyone to blame, just the current landlord has decided he doesn’t want to extend to the tenancy. The team behind The Garage have already started to search for a new home and now think they have found one. They hope to be up and running in their new venue by Christmas, taking with them the best bits from The Garage and adding some new things too!
All promotions have said they will stay with the club, including Back To Basics, Beatstreet, Bigger Than Barry, SetOneTwenty and Nest.
